Hi Kelly,
A question for you on 5th grade Math SAT # 31102A “The student will count the number of sides of a variety of quadrilaterals.”. Does variety mean more than two, meaning the evidence would show 3 or more quadrilaterals?
Thanks,
Miranda
Hi Miranda,
Thank you for the question. 5th grade math AGLI 31102 is “count the number of sides and/or angles of triangles and/or quadrilaterals.” The Sample Assessment Task 31102A is assessing a student’s knowledge, skills, and understanding of counting the number of sides of quadrilaterals. The AGLI and assessment task have plural elements, therefore the verifying evidence must demonstrate the plural elements also. In this case, two or more quadrilaterals with two or more sides counted would meet the plural element of “sides of quadrilaterals”-it does not have to be three or more. Please let us know if you have further questions.
Thank you,
