New Student entering District

Alicia,
What is the cut off time that a student needs to be assessed upon
entering a district? I know last year it was 15 days before the end of
the assessment time. The district is questioning if they have to assess
this transfer child.

Thank you for your email question. The Department has indicated that
every effort should be make to assess the student within the remaining
administration period. Please refer to the attached copy of the Not
Tested for to determine if the policy regarding absence would apply to
your situation. Thank you!
