Hi Alicia,
Hope all is well with you.
A number of teachers have expressed concern that the absence of a page
number next to the SAT will result in a non score. Since ProFile does
not provide the page number and does not allow its entry there is
concern that someone will forget to manually enter the page number. Can
you please clarify the impact of such an omission?
Thanks
Pat
Hi Pat -
Thanks for submitting your question regarding the SAT page number on the
Data Summary Sheet (DSS).
As in the past and as indicated on the DSS - the page number information
for a Sample Assessment Task (SAT) is not required. It is intended to
assist Scorers to find the sample assessment task when the task the
teacher selected is the "same" or "comparable" to one from the NYSAA
Frameworks.
Scorers will be required to look up each sample assessment task to
confirm it is listed in the Frameworks as being connected to the AGLI
assessed. If the SAT is not listed in the Frameworks and is an original
task, then the Scorer will follow steps similar to those found on page
19 of the Administration Manual to confirm the task is connected to the
AGLI assessed.
Because the page number notation was left off the DSS form this year it
was recommended that teachers hand write the page number either in the
space provided next to the SAT code or in the margin. Again, it was
recommended not required and would not result in a no score because a
page number is missing.
