Hi Kelly,
AGLI 12107 (grade 3): does each piece of evidence need more than 1 genre represented or will a different genre on each date be sufficient?
Thanks,
Theresa
Hi Theresa,
Thank you for the question. The plural in an AGLI can be satisfied similar to an AND statement in an AGLI. For example, one piece of evidence can demonstrate one genre (e.g., nonfiction) and the other piece of evidence can demonstrate another genre (e.g., poetry) or a piece of evidence can demonstrate more than one genre being used (e.g., poetry and nonfiction worked on during a single session on a single date). It is important to remember that if a Data Collection Sheet is used (or even if it is unclear on the evidence that more than one genre is used) the use of different genres needs to be clearly demonstrated; one way to do this is with a notation indicating the different genres used for each date. Let us know if you have any further questions.
Thank you,
