Hi Kelly,
Please clarify this for me:
Grade 4, AGLI 11205 “sort objects according to similarities”. The teacher had the student sort bears according to color and used a multi step data collection sheet as evidence. My concern was that similarities in the AGLI is plural and only one similarity is sorted (color). The SAT’s in the frameworks have an example of sorting objects by shape, which would only be one characteristic/similarity. This example appears to not align to the AGLI.

Hi Miranda,
Thank you for the question. The AGLI and sample assessment task is plural, the VE would satisfy the plural in the task when looked at in total. The sample assessment task 11205B (page 41) is giving the example that multiple categories of shape are being used to sort the objects into and therefore the VE in total (both pieces) would meet the plural. Also, the samples in the Frameworks are to be considered connected to the AGLI. We will keep this one in mind moving forward. Thank you for the info. Let us know if you have additional questions.
Thank you,
