Clarifications on Data Summary Sheets

Hi Mary!

Thanks for submitting these questions. I've indicated responses below in
CAPS. Thanks also for the great feedback. Take care,

Alicia

On the DSS, where a teacher indicates if a task is same/comparable, you
wanted us to add the page number as well as the SAT number. The current
field only has room for the SAT number. Will you be expanding that
field OR do you want the teacher to write the page number on a printed
out copy OR is it not necessary to include the page number at all when
using ProFile? RESPONSE: IF TEACHERS COULD HAND WRITE THE PAGE NUMBER IN
THE MARGIN NEXT TO THE NOTATION ABOUT THE SAT CODE IT WILL BE VERY
HELPFUL AT SCORING. WE ARE ALSO PUTTING TOGETHER A QUICK REFERENCE SHEET
WITH THE SAT CODES FOR EACH GRADE/CONTENT AREA TO BE USED DURING SCORING
TO HELP WITH THIS EFFORT AS WELL.

Also, some of my teachers after adding student info have printed out a
hard copy of the DSS Summary Sheet for Grade 5 Social Studies. The
hard copy did not print out the content area in the upper right hand
corner . Is everyone having a problem with this or is this a question I
should direct to John? RESPONSE. PLEASE CONTACT JOHN FOR TECH SUPPORT:

* E-Mail: jcunningham@measuredprogress.org

And.... I have a teacher who has a student from Vernon, NJ in her class.
I was wondering if Measured Progress is the vendor used for the NJSAA.
If so, would this teacher have to attend a training session in NJ or are
the forms similar enough that the training she received in NY would be
enough to allow her to complete an accurate datafolio. RESPONSE: STATE
ASSESSMENTS ARE VERY SPECIFIC TO EACH STATE. I BELIEVE THE STUDENTS HOME
DISTRICT (EVEN IF OUT OF STATE) WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR
ASSESSMENT AS IT WOULD NEED TO BE INCLUDED IN THE STATE'S ACCOUNTABILITY
DATA. I WOULD SUGGEST CONTACT VICKIE FERRARA AT SED TO CONFIRM THIS
INFORMATION.
