Social Studies - Maps as Prompts Question

Hi Kelly,
SS HS AGLI 22106: locate one country other than the United States on a map.
Sample task:
The student will locate a country other than the United States on a map or a globe with a sticker, marker or dot.

The teacher’s task reads:
Locate a country other than the United States on a map with a sticker.
The worksheet shows a map of North America with the names of the countries labeled. At first glance, I was concerned that the countries being labeled is a prompt. However, if you refer to the sample task stating that the student could use a globe, all globes would also have the countries labeled. So the question is, can I assume that the countries being labeled on the map will not be considered a prompt?
Regis

Hi Regis,
Thank you for the question. Based on the information that you have provided regarding the AGLI, task, and the VE--there doesn't seem to be anything within the worksheet that would be guiding or leading the student to the answer. There would be no reason for the globe/map to be considered a prompt. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Thank you,
