Marie and I would like to welcome you to the NYSAA0708 Blog. We will be using this tool to post things we learn in the process of training and supporting you through the administration of the NYSAA this year. We will post new developments or things we forgot to mention or things that we need to reinforce so that you can adminster the best assessment possible for the students with the most severe disabilities.
We spend yesterday, September 10th in training all day for the training that we will deliver on September 28th. We learned that many things have stayed the same and a few changes have been made. Those changes though are critical for you to know so that your assessment will not be unscorable.
New teachers to the assessment should definitely attend training. Everyone should go over the adminstration manual carefully and if possible review it in groups so that you all have the same understanding. If you have any questions, ask you CSE Chairperson who may direct you to us.
